Due to a special connection, we were fortunate to inherit the TS Building, which Mr. Sakaiya used as his office and residence until recently. This building holds many cherished memories for him.
Upon taking over the building and entering the rooms, the first thing that struck us was the sheer volume of materials left behind. There were memos, drafts, handwritten notes, and countless documents. It felt as if Mr. Sakaiya himself was still present.
To pass on Mr. Sakaiya's ideas and achievements to future generations, we established the Taichi Sakaiya Research Lab and began the task of organizing these materials. It was a time-consuming process, but we cataloged everything, making his numerous books, articles, and policy-related documents readily accessible.
The rich experience and knowledge Mr. Sakaiya cultivated throughout his life continue to influence many people today. Even now, we sometimes wonder, "What would Mr. Sakaiya think about this?"
Now, we are pleased to announce a limited-time exhibition of this research lab, filled with Mr. Sakaiya's memories. We sincerely hope you will visit this place he loved and experience a connection to his legacy.
